What is your new AE actually costing you while they ramp?

B2B SaaS AEs take 5.7 months to reach full productivity on average (The Bridge Group, 2025). Every one of those months is quota-carrying salary against a rep who isn't yet closing at full rate. Enter your own numbers below.

Estimated ramp cost, per hire
$115,000
Total ramp-cost exposure this year
$575,000

See what closes that gap faster - a role-specific briefing built from your own Slack, CRM, and docs before Day 1.

How this is calculated

This estimate applies a fixed ratio - 57.5% of OTE - to the on-target earnings you enter above. That ratio is Firstweek's own model: it's the same one behind the $115K ramp-cost figure on our homepage, which was derived against a $200K OTE benchmark ($115K ÷ $200K = 57.5%). It is not an externally sourced number - treat it as a directional estimate, not an audited figure.

A related but different number is the cost of a sales hire leaving before they ever ramp: $97,690, per DePaul University's Center for Sales Leadership. That figure measures replacement cost, not ramp cost, and the two shouldn't be added together.
